1. Create A Playlist
1.1. Log in to Panopto. Select the + Create button and then select Playlist.
1.2. The Create Playlist window will appear. In this pop-up window, give your playlist a Name, choose a Folder where your playlist will reside, and write a Description for the playlist. Click Create. Note: Playlists must be inside of a folder.
1.3. You will be taken to the Overview tab for the playlist.
2. Editing Playlists
2.1. On the Overview tab, you can edit the playlist information, description, and add videos to a playlist. This includes:
- Playlist Information:
- Name: Change the name of the playlist.
- Folder: Change the folder location of the playlist.
- Preview Image: Edit the preview image that will always be used as the first video in your playlist.
- Description: Edit the playlist description.
- Videos in Playlist: Add videos to the playlist.
3. Adding Videos to a Playlist
3.1. In the Overview tab, click the + Add videos button.
3.2. You can now search for videos to add. As long as you have at least viewer access you can add videos to your playlist. Choose the videos you want by selecting the checkbox to their left, and click the Add button.
3.3. After you've selected Add, it will list the number of sessions added to the right. Select Close to close the Add Sessions... window.
3.4. This will take you back to the Settings window for the playlist. In this window, you can click and drag the videos under Videos in Playlist to reorder them.
4. Viewing A Playlist
4.1. When you have created a playlist, the thumbnail of the videos will be from the first video you have in the playlist. You will see it says Playlist on the right side of the thumbnail.
4.2. When you click on the thumbnail or playlist link, it will expand the video to full screen and give you the playlist of videos on the left side of your screen. The first video will automatically play after five seconds of loading.
4.3. Click anywhere on the video to pause the video. You can click on the playlist icon to open the playlist.
5. Share Playlists
5.1. When you want to share a playlist, locate your playlist then click on the Share Icon. Note: Your playlist will inherit sharing permissions from its parent folder.
5.2. You can share your playlist via a direct link or an embed code.
5.2.a. Direct link: When the Link icon is selected, select the time you want the video link to start at (if applicable), and then select Copy Link. Note: Confirmation text, Link copied, will appear.
5.2.b. Embed code: When the Embed icon is selected, select your preferred aspect ratio, size, and viewer options. Select Copy Embed Code. Note: Confirmation text, Embed code copied, will appear.
